Premiere: Temple Sniper - Puisstraat 36a (Milkit)

Inverness based label Milkit launch their charity EP 'MS002', with 100% of the profits going to the NHS.

Next up, Halcyon head to Scotland (virtually of course), to premiere Temple Sniper's 'Puisstraat' taken from Milkit's second collaborative EP. Featuring tracks from the latter, Easy Peelers, Garteth McA, Toby Williams and Et Al, the release showcases a diverse palette of sounds from gritty, bass heavy tracks to Balearic infused piano melodies and trancey acid.

Fitting with the more dark side of the EP, we at Halcyon are excited to share with you with Temple Sniper's 'Puisstraat'. An alias of Joe Varela, 'MS002' marks the Glaswegian's debut release under his new moniker. When not producing Temple Sniper heads up the label Noctambulant Sound Records and holds down a residency at Syncopate Glasgow.

Guided by hypnotic rolling drum patterns, 'Puisstraat' layers haunting, mystical synths and tense vocal snippets over crispy high hats and a chunky bass groove - all infiltrated by spacey atmospherics to create a jam with a wonky edge. Check it here and catch the whole EP exclusively on Bandcamp from June 5th:
